COMING SOON TO A LIVING ROOM NEAR YOU

As some of you know, my daughter and I have been here in Toronto since the end of November. We're having a lovely time, visiting friends and family and trying to find work for Libby.  As a result, posting more regularly, as well as dropping by my favourite blogs, has proven to be quite a challenge! Nevertheless, it's always a treat and very much appreciated when you come over to say 'hello'.

Today, we went looking for a new sofa for my sister's living room. Presently, there are seven (!) couches in this residence - five loveseats and two sofas! Surprisingly, the space does not appear stuffy, as the house is quite large and divided into  sections with a functionally open layout and  pretty design.


The three seater in the sketchy image above will be making its debut in about a week. It will appear in the living room that already boasts a beautiful bay window, made up of five tall panes and panelled to perfection.  In the mornings, freshly brewed coffee and views of gently falling snow will add to the drama of the feature presentation, namely, the up and coming star of the show -  (ta da!): the sofa, in all its brilliant colour, texture and  scene stealing appeal!

  1. There's plenty of snow falling here tonight and it's very pretty. My kids are coming here tomorrow, one from north of TO and one from London, so I hope the snow stops by morning and they can arrive in safety.

  2. It sounds like you are having a wonderful visit, Poppy! We had snow right after Christmas and it looked so beautiful. Now it has all melted and just kind of dreary. We live in Ohio so I feel like we are neighbors right now! ❄ ❄ ❄
