Tea and Curiosity: An Invitation

'High Tea', Denise Daffara

Have you ever been curious about what all your bosom blogger buddies are like in person? When reading their posts and comments, can you connect a personality to them? Do you hear their voices, each one different, but part of a unique collection of like-minded friends,
who share the same ideas, life styles and passions with you?

'Afternoon Tea with Lilies', Natalie Singh

This coming May, Poppy View will celebrate its second year in the blogosphere, and in that time, I've had the pleasure of 'meeting'
many sweet and talented people across the globe, some of
whom reside in the Greater Toronto Area, and who I've
been wanting to meet in person, but had not been able to,
due to the deterrent of distance.  UNTIL NOW.

The Old Curiosity Tea Shop, photo: teaandtalk.blogspot.com

For those of you who live in the GTA,
I'd love to see your real time smile,
free, from its freeze framed profile pic,
a smile now warming, after winter's wacky schtick!
So, how about a cozy, traditional, Afternoon Tea?
Your presence would make me smile most happily!

Please RSVP in the comments,
as the Old Curiosity Tea Shop requires 3 days notice, and
is closed on Monday, which means I would have to
reserve by this Saturday, April 5th, 2014.

Thanks for visiting
and hope to see you soon!

    1. Hi Mary,

I would love to meet you, too! We certainly have some things in common, like the temperate climate of both California and Crete and a love of flowers, the difference being that you have a GREEN thumb and I am ALL thumbs, when tending to such pretties such as yours!

I return to Crete on May 23rd, a few days after Liberty's 25th birthday, which I am really excited about sharing - in person and not on the phone!

Thanks for visiting and hope you are enjoying your lovely flowers, as well as a sunny, as opposed to our snowy, spring!

  34. What a great idea. Perhaps some of us in the states could gather together and form their own meet and greets at their local tea shops. I'm in Michigan and while I have been across the border, the furthest up I have been is Niagara Falls. We do have plans to visit Toronto in the future. I'm a new reader popping by from a link party! Now, a new follower. Chrystal @ YUM eating

Yes, it would have been so lovely to meet you, too! The more, the merrier! If you're referring to the paintings, no, they are not in my home. I searched for 'afternoon tea' paintings, and found them on Google. Glad you like them!

Will definitely post pictures of our 'Meet & Greet'!

You know...I can put voices to faces many times getting it right where those people were, at least in depth of voice and any accent, pretty close to what I think they sound like. You may want to see what I posted for today, I shared wedding images of our youngest daughter for my blog entry this week, what a wonderful time was has by all ;) Happy week Poppy~

  58. Poppy, it's Wed April 9 at 11:26 am; so, naturally, I AM having tea with YOU right now (though only in thought because I live in Virginia). Oh how I wish I could meet you in person. The very first time I visited your blog, I was completely taken! I love what you see (your photos are so happy and colorful) and I love what you say (you say it so effortlessly). My friend, I would love to meet you in person one day. Have a great tea with your lucky blog friends.

If possible, when you're back home and have some time, could you erase me from the list, so I can try to resuscribe. Right now, if I try, it tells me I already suscribed!
