  6. I need to make time, like you, to sit with a book or a journal and pen and just enjoy my surroundings.

  7. Why does everything just seem so much more bright and beautiful there? The colors are amazing! The air must be so fresh and clear. We have suffocating heat and humidity here again and everything is so drab all the time. Kitty sure is cute and comfy. Best wishes, Tammy

  12. Good Morning Poppy, What a lovely way to spend your afternoon, sitting by the poolside and taking photographs of the lovely Prince Richard.... I can see he is used to having his photograph taken, as he does not allow the papparazi to disturb his day.
There is such a wonderful sense of calm about your photographs. I love the bright colour of the Colius and the Marigolds are so vibrant..... and the light....so beautiful.
    Have a wonderful day.
    Best Wishes

  18. Your poolside retreat is a lovely one, with sweet company. I love being in the water. Maybe it's time for me to join the local recreation centre and get swimming again. But alas, that can't compare to swimming under the sun.

    1. Hey Debby Ray,

'Bikini' to this newly Post 50 female, now translates as some kind of beachy cocktail, kinda like 'Bellini'. No, this is a family friendly blog, so don't want to scare anyone away with such a sight, although you seemed to be quite amused at the thought! LOL!!!

  20. Oh my, Poppy. Your photo's are so good and your Prince is so regal laying around taking naps.
The pool looks so inviting - I would be on a raft floating around enjoying the water with a ice tea in the holder, just drifting around and dreaming. Wonderful way to spend a few hours.
Have a terrific week and I am ready for Fall.

  24. I just love that kitty!! I try to sit by my pool a little each day, too. It was so much easier when the kids were small. They required my constant supervision, so it was a great excuse to leave the dishes and laundry behind and enjoy the sunshine and water. Now, I spend my summer days driving to and from the mall! Ick! I like the lifeguarding days so much more! :)
