Christmas Greetings, everyone!
Another year is almost over.
Are you finding that the older you get,
the faster time flies?!
Is age creepin' in on us, or am I extra antsy
because I will be half a century old in 2014?!
Where has the time gone?
Before you know it, 2013 will be history.
My trio recorded ''Creepin' In'', (mp3 player above, top left),
a few years ago, and it was especially chosen for
today's post, which is devoted to Vee's Note Card Party.
Have a listen while you browse, and please
stop by Vee's for some lovely inspiration!
Donning her baptismal dress, baby Liberty's
fun and festive Canadian Christmases begin!
Libby, the tree trimming toddler, tween and teen.
From top left and clockwise: My sister, Cindy, my mother, Rita, my aunt Jane, and me. |
Two generations of sisters. One never ending love story!
Thanks for visiting!

Oh, Poppy ~ I loved looking though your postcards. Yes, time does fly !!
ReplyDeleteIt is amazing how much we change from year to year. I think you looked fabulous in the 80s..
I hope your Christmas is very Merry..
xo Marissa
Ah Poppy, I so enjoyed seeing your never ending love story of the generations and through time. Merry Christmas to you!
ReplyDeleteYou have a lovely family Poppy.
ReplyDeleteAnd at 50 you are still young yet girl!
Your trimming of the photos made for very nice notecards for Vee's party.
Merry Christmas!
Loved the music! Is the trio still active? I sure hope so! Wonderful to see the love swirling though your Christmas story. You gals are all so very lovely; you haven't changed a bit since 1986. How can that be? Thank you for participating at such a busy time of year!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to look at your Christmas through old photos.
ReplyDeleteOn our 25th Christmas together, I wrote my husband a story about all of the Christmases we had spent together. He is a cryer anyway, but it brought tears to his eyes and he said that it was the best present that year.
Love the way you used the vintage photos to make your notecards. What treasures! Enjoyed listening to your trio!
ReplyDeleteHi Poppy, you write such beautiful posts! Have a wonderful Tuesday.
ReplyDeleteJulie
Such a fun post. You look so young! I really didn't think you were anywhere near fifty. It makes sense, knowing your daughter's age, but still...what a beautiful, youthful mother she has. :)
ReplyDeleteHello Poppy! How nice to scroll through your cards listening to your recording! Love the harmony....
ReplyDeleteMerry Christmas to you and yours!
Lovely family album (lovely family) -- Christmas is such a wonderful time for reminiscence.
ReplyDeleteThese are such happy scenes of Christmas. Love the music too. I have the same song on a Nora Jones CD ... one of my favourites ;) I popped into the 50s crowd last year, and it's all good. Wendy x
ReplyDeleteTime does have a way of passing a little too quickly. I am just a couple of years older, 52 at the moment. I love the way you have combined your photographs above. Happy Holidays!

Poppy! You never cease to amaze me! You're singing music that would be right at home here in Nashville! I grew up with country music people as neighbors, bluegrass legends Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs right across the street from us, and you sound like our kind of people!
ReplyDeleteBravo! What in the world is next in your repertoire?
Beautiful song you sound amazing and very talent...beautiful family .... turning 50 is a piece of cake I did it this year! You are a beautiful woman and no different than your younger self!!!!! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Marisa
I worried for two years before I turned 40 and after that, I didn't care how old I got. In fact, I have outlived many of my friends - many died young. Love the photos of your family.
ReplyDeleteYour cards are so lovely but there's NO WAY you are as old as you say you are! I would have never guessed that! I really like the borders around the photos...they really add such a festive touch! Christmas blessings to you, sweet Poppy :)
ReplyDeletePoppy, your cards and precious family photos are so special! Love the borders too! 50 is a piece of cake. Nothing to worry about- you are only as old as you feel! Merry Christmas!
ReplyDeleteYou are so beautiful and so is all of your family! Love this photos for Christmas cards...they would be perfect! Enjoy your week! And I agree with Linda....your 50s will be a piece of cake! You'll have such fun!
