    Monday 10/21                       Wednesday 10/23                    Friday 10/25

Hello everyone,

Happy Sunday!

Daylight Saving(s) Time is now in gear, here in Europe,
and thus, inspired me to do a little recap of my posts this week.

A peek at the week ahead.
If you missed any of these, and would like to catch up,
just click on to the link under each and have fun!
See you soon!

PS: For a planet that is 4.54 billion years old,
turning back the clock on the earth's 'face',
sure seems like the perfect scheme,
in lieu of moisturizing cream!
If only...

  1. I thought it was Daylight Saving Time when the clocks went forward...

    1. Hi Penny,

It actually happens twice a year, in the spring and in the fall.

''Daylight saving time (DST) the practice of advancing clocks during the lighter months so that evenings have more daylight and mornings have less. Typically clocks are adjusted forward one hour near the start of spring and are adjusted backward in autumn.''.

  2. Hi Poppy yes turning back the clocks if for now I rely on my "oil of olay"each day as I come to terms, once again; or every fall, that our days are shorter...oh well, until next spring!

    Have a great week!

  3. OOO, I want some of that moisturizing creme....:)

  4. I hope you have lots more progress toward fall now that the clocks are changed. Have a wonderful week, Poppy. :)

  5. I HATE, HATE, HATE changing the clock this time of year. It is dark at 5:30 p.m.

  6. I don't like to change this season the time ! The light goes earlier and today I must believe that the winter is out of my door !!!Have a nice week !

  7. I am a card-carrying member of the silent minority that hates the very existence of Daylight Saving Time. Whoever invented it--and I wonder if I should blame either our Congress or Britain's Parliament--should have been handcuffed to Big Ben for a week to suffer forever hearing the hours tolled in his ears. (Notice that I said "his". I'm sure it had to have been a man.)

Soon we will be back to GOD'S Time and I can have my sun in the morning instead of the evening. The evening is for dusk and twilight and then darkness unless the moon is full. It is for lighting candles at dinner and having the candlelight actually light up the darkness. It is for a long evening after the kitchen is put to bed, with time enough to read a good book by the light of a lamp. It is for feeling that anything is possible in a long night.

Is it bedtime there in Crete, Poppy dear? Enjoy the moonlight!

Dewena -- "I've got the sun in the morning and the noon at night."

  8. Ah yes, if only. :) We don't turn back the clock until next weekend here. One more week of very dark mornings and slightly lighter evenings.

  9. Haha! If only is right! We've got another week to go before "falling back." Have a great week, Poppy!

  10. We changing also the clock time in Holland.
    Greetings, RW & SK

  11. If only indeed! you are too funny! Lovely posts! Thanks for the links!

  12. Ha Ha Poppy. Is the planet really that old? How do you calculate that? Thanks for your cheery posts!

  13. Our time changes in a week and I'm not looking forward to it! We always call it "new time" and I have a hard time adjusting to new time. It takes me about a month or so.

    LOL...if only is right!

Thanks for stopping by and taking the time to comment. I really appreciate hearing from all of you! Have a great day!
