Hello everyone!
Well, before I begin to deck the halls,
I thought I'd start with something small.
And so, as I began to trim my tiny tree,
I felt a flurry of merry inside of me!
Before long,
the space was filled
with friends from afar,
who braved the snow
and followed the star
to take their place
on the mantel.
Santa proudly stands in the decorative scene,
amid the mini motifs and the fresh, seasonal green.
He has a lot on his plate in the next days ahead -
presents! - packed and stacked high on his sled!
'Won't you stay for tea?' I ask, as we
wrap up the fireplace photo shoot.
'Thanks ever so much, but I've got to scoot!', he says.
Then, after shining his boots and primping his suit,
Thanks for visiting and
have a wonderful week!

Hello Poppy, a cute post.. I love your decorated mantle with the pretty little tree and cute Santa.. Wishing you a happy week ahead!
ReplyDeletePoppy, you couldn't talk him into staying for a cup of tea? But he is a busy man. At least you have a reminder of him on your fireplace mantel, and oh, my goodness, that lovely lady with the 2 snowmen! When you featured them in one picture I thought it was a beautiful Christmas card--and it should be!
ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like the red, white, and green in your room to say "Christmas is coming." I love it!
I agree with Dewena, Poppy. That second photo does make a beautiful Christmas card.. Your mantel is so festive. Wonderfully joyful! xxx ~ Nancy

ReplyDeleteThat cute little Santa is so sweet, I just want to eat him up ;). And Dewena is spot on...that second photo is lovely, and does indeed look like a card. In fact, almost all your pictures do. Not just in this post, but all of them.
