Christmas Through the Ages

Click to listen
Christmas Greetings, everyone!
Another year is almost over.
Are you finding that the older you get,
the faster time flies?!
Is age creepin' in on us, or am I extra antsy
because I will be half a century old in 2014?!
Where has the time gone?

Before you know it, 2013 will be history.
My trio recorded ''Creepin' In'', (mp3 player above, top left),
a few years ago, and it was especially chosen for
today's post, which is devoted to Vee's Note Card Party.
Have a listen while you browse, and please
stop by Vee's for some lovely inspiration!

Donning her baptismal dress, baby Liberty's
fun and festive Canadian Christmases begin!

Libby, the tree trimming toddler, tween and teen.

From top left and clockwise: My sister, Cindy, my mother, Rita, my aunt Jane, and me.

Two generations of sisters. One never ending love story!

Thanks for visiting!

  3. You have a lovely family Poppy.
And at 50 you are still young yet girl!
Your trimming of the photos made for very nice notecards for Vee's party.
    Merry Christmas!

  4. Loved the music! Is the trio still active? I sure hope so! Wonderful to see the love swirling though your Christmas story. You gals are all so very lovely; you haven't changed a bit since 1986. How can that be? Thank you for participating at such a busy time of year!

  5. How fun to look at your Christmas through old photos.

On our 25th Christmas together, I wrote my husband a story about all of the Christmases we had spent together. He is a cryer anyway, but it brought tears to his eyes and he said that it was the best present that year.

  8. Such a fun post. You look so young! I really didn't think you were anywhere near fifty. It makes sense, knowing your daughter's age, but still...what a beautiful, youthful mother she has. :)

  13. Poppy! You never cease to amaze me! You're singing music that would be right at home here in Nashville! I grew up with country music people as neighbors, bluegrass legends Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs right across the street from us, and you sound like our kind of people!

Bravo! What in the world is next in your repertoire?

  15. I worried for two years before I turned 40 and after that, I didn't care how old I got. In fact, I have outlived many of my friends - many died young. Love the photos of your family.

I Agree - the older we get the faster it goes.
Thank you for your friend ship this year and I'll look forward to seeing more of your photos in 2014.
