ReplyDeleteI love the olive tree no matter what the season, Poppy.

You can't beat Mother Nature for beauty.

Always a nice stop here on your blog Poppy! I like the new banner but miss the old one...Missing the poppies you know.
ReplyDeleteThe photo 'At My Door Step' is just perfect!
Best wishes for a great weekend,
All of those trees are wonderful and of course your photography skills bring out the beauty.

Pretty foliage can be just as interesting as flowers. Really lovely photos Poppy!
ReplyDeleteHello Poppy
ReplyDeleteThe foliage you feature holds so much promise for warmer days and the lazy days of summer.
Thanks for taking me on a little journey through your beautiful corner of the world
Helen xx
These are some very pretty and interesting trees. Great subject matter, especially when we are longing for blooms! ;-)

What beautiful photos Poppy. So many different things from here in Canada and so luxurious looking. Have a beautiful week. Hugs. Pam
ReplyDeleteOh we are having such a warm sunny Seattle afternoon that it feels as if it could be Crete and now your photos have taken me there. I am smiling ~ thank you, Poppy!

Hi Poppy,
ReplyDeleteIt was lovely coming to visit you and see your wonderful foliage photos - love all the different colours.
The olive trees are fabulous and they look like they are very old.
Happy weekend
hugs

I always love visiting your blog, Poppy. You always have beautiful photos and words. I saw olive trees for the first time in Croatia a few years ago and totally felt in love with them.
ReplyDeleteGreat pics. I love flowers. Great linky. I would like to join sometime. I am following you now.
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed my visit.
Sherry
The view from your front gate is stunning. I remember many of these wonderful posts and these photos of foliage are fabulous!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe foliage photos are wonderful, Poppy, and I love the view provided in "A Sweet Retreat". The colours of the vegetation just sing in front of the dreamlike blues in the distance.

Thanks for coming by and luring me back. Your photos are a beauty to look at this morning. It's raining here today. That's a huge Praise and Thank you. I didn't check my links yet but I'll go back and do that. The little thing on the sink is to give your cutlery a little wash/scrub before putting in dishwasher. I think it's great. I practically wash everything before it goes in anyway. This would save me some time I think. Thanks for coming by and following me. Your beautiful flowers in your header inspire to get some fresh flowers. Been awhile. I think it's time! Have a wonderful day/evening.

Your photos are always outstanding, Poppy! What a fun way to celebrate the season! :)
ReplyDeleteLove the variety of foliage in your area.
ReplyDeleteI never really look at foliage this way, not until it's autumn and there's an explosion of colours. I guess it's something we often brush aside. As always my dear, your photos are eye-catching, soothing and invigorating. I think I need to get out more. Thank you dear Poppy for sharing and I would like to link in next time. Take care and God bless.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful week.
Hugs,
Aida
The gift of the Seasons is a source of nurture to me, something that your post today with all of its seasonal gifts reminds me so well. I love them all but especially 'A Sweet Retreat'. That bronze foliage in the foreground with the row of cypress behind, and then the deep blue that looks like blue clouds but must be the town below is a view I'd never tire of, indeed a sweet retreat. Crete's Tourist Commission needs to hire Poppy View!
ReplyDeleteI haven't got any good shots of my garden, because I'm desperately trying to tidy it all up and anyway I don't think I'll ever have pictures as wonderful as yours, the colours are always so vibrant, and the landscapes so wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing.
You've shared a lovely collection of foliage Poppy and I like the wreath you created at the end. By now I assume you are back to good health!
ReplyDeleteHi, Thanks for coming by and visiting and following me. I'll be back to see you.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your week,
Sherry
What a lovely celebration of foliage! Your images and words are like a poetic tribute to their beauty! Nice to meet you as well Poppy! Hope your week is off to a wonderful start :)

Beautiful pictures. Foliage is often as pretty or prettier than the flowers. Think fall!
ReplyDeletePoppy - absolutely gorgeous - love those olive trees! I am delighted to share that your post will be featured in this week's A Return to Loveliness,
